Forest Archive
Forest Archive brings craft and ecology into intimate dialogue. Cross-stitched patterns on fallen logs embed cultural memory directly into the landscape, transforming discarded wood into carriers of shared heritage. These embroidered marks act as gentle interventions — gestures of care that acknowledge the forest not as resource, but as kin.
The work imagines rewilding as a collaborative practice: a way of honouring both the natural cycles of the forest and the human histories threaded through it. In this meeting of bark, lichen, and pattern, Forest Archive becomes a record of connection — a tribute to what we inherit, what we tend, and what continues to grow through us.
